Due to Pascal's Law, this same pressure is exerted on a larger piston (larger surface area).

Because the surface area of the second piston is larger, the resulting force generated is significantly greater, allowing for the lifting of heavy objects like cars with minimal input effort.

This mechanism serves as a force multiplier, which is a core concept in mechanical advantage.

Other Applications of Pascal's Law

Hydraulic Brakes: Commonly used in automobiles, where applying pressure to the brake pedal transfers force through hydraulic fluid to brake pads.

Hydraulic Press: Used in industrial settings for forging, molding, and stamping metal.

Hydraulic Jacks: Used for lifting vehicles during repairs and maintenance.

Hydraulic Cranes: Utilized in construction to lift massive loads using pressurized fluid systems.
