The 'Friendship Highway' also known as the China-Nepal Highway, connects the capital of Tibet, Lhasa with the Nepalese-Chinese border between Zhangmu and Kodari.
The 800-kilometre long 'Friendship Highway' goes through the Himalayan mountains and along the Yarlung valley upto Shigatse, Tibet's second-largest city and formerly the home of the Panchen Lamas.
