A, B and C divide an amount of Rs. 5000 amongst themselves in the ratio of 5:3:2 respectively. If an amount of Rs.600 is added to each of their shares, what will be the new ratio of their shares of the amount?

A31 : 21 : 16

B15 : 16 : 12

C17 : 18 : 19

D29 : 21 : 15

Answer:

A. 31 : 21 : 16

Read Explanation:

A : B : C = 5 : 3 : 2

A=510×5000=2500 A=\frac{5}{10}\times{5000} = 2500

New Share of A= 2500+600= 3100

B=310×5000=1500B = \frac{3}{10}\times{5000} = 1500

New Share of B= 1500+600=2100

C=210×5000=1000C =\frac{2}{10}\times{5000} = 1000

New Share of C= 1000+600=1600

If the amount Rs.600 is added to each of their shares then the new share becomes,

3100 : 2100 : 1600 = 31 : 21 : 16
