In 2002, India's Flag Code was merged with Provisions of the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950, and the Prevention of Insults to National Honour (Amendment) Act, 2005. Part I of the Flag Code deals with the description and dimensions of a standard flag.
