Ferdinand de Saussure was a Swiss linguist, best known for his contributions to structuralism and semiotics. He is not directly associated with the development of Rasa Theory, which is a fundamental concept in Indian aesthetics.
The other scholars played significant roles in Rasa Theory:
Bharata – Originated Rasa Theory in the Natyashastra.
Abhinavagupta – Expanded and refined Rasa Theory in Abhinavabharati.
Surendranath Dasgupta – Wrote on Indian aesthetics and philosophy, discussing Rasa Theory in a broader context.
