Candidates who missed the Degree Level Preliminary Examination Phase I and Phase II conducted on 02 May 2026 and 16 May 2026 were given an opportunity by the Kerala Public Service Commission to appear for the Phase III examination scheduled on 06 June 2026. The Kerala PSC Degree Level Preliminary Examination 2026 is being conducted in three phases. The first and second phases were held on May 2 and May 16, 2026, respectively. The third phase examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 6, 2026.
A total of 26.77 lakh applications were received for 13 different posts under 21 category numbers. Among these, around six lakh candidates belong to the general category. About 5.55 lakh candidates confirmed their participation in the examination. Due to the large number of applicants, the Kerala Public Service Commission decided to divide candidates into three groups and conduct the preliminary examination in phases. Approximately 1.85 lakh candidates are appearing in each phase.
The examination centre is allotted based on the district selected as the correspondence address in the candidate’s Kerala PSC profile. Admission tickets for each phase are made available through the PSC Thulasi profile before the examination. Candidates appearing for the third phase can download their hall tickets from May 23.
Kerala PSC Degree Prelims 2026 Exam Pattern
The Kerala PSC Degree Prelims 2026 examination will carry a total of 100 marks. The question paper will comprise 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each correct response earning 1 mark. However, there will be a negative marking of 0.33 marks for each incorrect answer.
