    KTET - I Recent Notification

    The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test KTET - I December 2025 notification has been officially released on December 22, 2025. As per the latest update, online applications for the examination are open from December 22 to December 30, 2025, through the official KTET portals. Candidates aspiring to appear for the exam must complete the application process within this period. The December KTET - I 2025 examination is expected to be conducted on February 21 and 23, 2026.

    KTET-1 Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria

    Academic Qualification

    • Passed Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks.

      • SC/ST and differently abled candidates are eligible with minimum 40% marks.

    Professional Qualification (any one of the following):

    • Completed a 2-year Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) conducted by the Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala.

    • Completed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) recognized by NCTE.

    KTET-1 Exam Date & Shift Timing

    The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) for Category 1 and Category 2 is scheduled to be held on ,February 21, 2026. This exam is an important step for candidates aiming to become teachers in lower primary and upper primary levels. Aspirants should focus on their preparation to perform well on this date. On this day, the examination will be conducted for various categories including Category I, and II, depending on the shift-wise schedule released by Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan. The exam will be held in two shifts: Shift 1 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and Shift 2 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Category 1 will be held in the morning shift. Category 2 will be held in the afternoon shift.

    How to apply?

    1. On the homepage, look for the latest KTET notification and the link that says “Apply Online” or “New Registration” for the current session.

    2. Register Your Details
      Click New Registration and enter basic details like your name, date of birth, email, and mobile number to create your account. A registration ID and password will be generated.

    3. Login & Fill the Application Form
      Use your registration credentials to log in and complete the application form. Provide accurate personal and educational details as required.

    4. Upload Required Documents
      Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photograph and signature in the specified format and size (as per official instructions).

    5. Select KTET Category(s)
      Choose the KTET category (I, II, III, IV) you are applying for depending on the level of teaching you target.

    6. Pay the Application Fee Online
      Pay the application fee using online payment options (credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI). Fee amounts typically vary by category and candidate type.

    7. Submit and Download
      After payment, review all details, submit the form, and download/print the confirmation page for future reference.

    KTET-1 Admit Card 2026

    The KTET Hall Ticket for August exam 2026 will be released before 14 days of Exam date, by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan on its official website – https://ktet.kerala.gov.in. Candidates who have successfully submitted their application form will be able to download their admit cards using their application ID and date of birth.

    2. Click on the link titled "KTET 2025 Admit Card Download"

    3. Enter your Application Number, ID, and Category
