To apply for KTET Category III – English, candidates must fulfill the following:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in English Language and Literature or a related subject with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized university.(For SC/ST and differently abled candidates, the minimum required marks are 40%.)
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) in English or a related subject recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).Candidates who are in the final year of their B.Ed. programs can also apply for KTET Category 3, but they need to submit proof of completing the qualification during document verification.
Language Proficiency:
The KTET Category 3 exam tests both theoretical knowledge and practical application of English teaching skills. Candidates need to have a strong grasp of English grammar, vocabulary, and usage, as well as the ability to teach these skills to young learners in an engaging manner.
Pedagogical Skills:

The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) for Category III and Category IV is scheduled to be held on February 23, 2026. This exam is a crucial milestone for candidates aspiring to become high school teachers and language teachers (up to high school level). Login & Fill the Application Form

Upload Required Documents
Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photograph and signature in the specified format and size (as per official instructions).
Select KTET Category(s)
Choose the KTET category (I, II, III, IV) you are applying for depending on the level of teaching you target.
Pay the Application Fee Online
Pay the application fee using online payment options (credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI). Fee amounts typically vary by category and candidate type.
Submit and Download
After payment, review all details, submit the form, and download/print the confirmation page for future reference.

✔ Keep a printout of the submitted form — it may be needed for admit card download or future verification.
The KTET Admit Card for September 2025 will be released 14 days before the exam on the official portal — ktet.kerala.gov.in. It is a mandatory document for entering the examination hall
