    KTET Category 3 English Eligibility Criteria

    To apply for KTET Category III – English, candidates must fulfill the following:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in English Language and Literature or a related subject with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized university.(For SC/ST and differently abled candidates, the minimum required marks are 40%.)

    • B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) in English or a related subject recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).Candidates who are in the final year of their B.Ed. programs can also apply for KTET Category 3, but they need to submit proof of completing the qualification during document verification.

    KTET- III English Exam Date & Shift Timing

    The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) for Category III and Category IV is scheduled to be held on February 23, 2026. This exam is a crucial milestone for candidates aspiring to become high school teachers and language teachers (up to high school level).
