    KTET Category III – Social Science 2026: Key Highlights

    Focus on Subject-Specific Knowledge:
    The examination emphasizes a strong understanding of Social Science subjects, including History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, and Sociology, as per the high school syllabus.

    KTET Category III – Social Science Exam Date & Shift Timing

    The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) Category III – Social Science examination is scheduled to be held on February 23, 2026. This examination is an important step for candidates aspiring to become high school Social Science teachers in Kerala.

    As per the official schedule released by Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan, the exam will be conducted in two shifts:

    • Shift 1 (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM): Category III – Social Science

    • Shift 2 (2:00 PM – 4:30 PM): Category IV

    Category III candidates will appear in the morning session, while Category IV will be conducted in the afternoon session. Candidates must reach the examination centre well in advance and carry their hall ticket and valid photo ID

    How to apply?

    1. On the homepage, look for the latest KTET notification and the link that says “Apply Online” or “New Registration” for the current session.

    2. Register Your Details
      Click New Registration and enter basic details like your name, date of birth, email, and mobile number to create your account. A registration ID and password will be generated.

    3. Login & Fill the Application Form
      Use your registration credentials to log in and complete the application form. Provide accurate personal and educational details as required.

    4. Upload Required Documents
      Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photograph and signature in the specified format and size (as per official instructions).

    5. Select KTET Category(s)
      Choose the KTET category (I, II, III, IV) you are applying for depending on the level of teaching you target.

    6. Pay the Application Fee Online
      Pay the application fee using online payment options (credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI). Fee amounts typically vary by category and candidate type.

    7. Submit and Download
      After payment, review all details, submit the form, and download/print the confirmation page for future reference

    ✔ Apply well before the last date, as applications are accepted only through online mode.
    ✔ Keep a printed copy of the submitted application form for admit card download and future verification.

    KTET Admit Card 2026 – How to Download

    The KTET Admit Card for February 2026 will be released approximately 14 days before the examination on the official website:

    Candidates must download the admit card by logging in using their Application Number, ID, and Category. Entry to the examination hall will not be allowed without a valid admit card.

    2. Click on “KTET 2026 Admit Card Download”

    3. Enter your Application Number, ID, and Category

    4. Click on Submit

    5. Download and print the admit card

    KTET 3 Social Science Eligibility Criteria

    1. Educational Qualifications:

      • Candidates must hold a B.A. or B.Sc. degree in Social Science (History, Geography, Economics, or Political Science) with a minimum of 45% marks.

      • A B.Ed. degree in Social Science is mandatory.

    2. Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for KTET.

    3. Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens and preferably residents of Kerala.
