SSC MTS 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Applicants must be:
An Indian citizen, or
A person of Indian origin migrated from select countries intending to settle permanently in India.
Educational Qualification
Must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or its equivalent from a recognized board by the application closing date.
Age Limit
18 to 25 years: For MTS and Havaldar in CBN
18 to 27 years: For Havaldar in CBIC

MTS Job Role
MTS staff are expected to carry out various support tasks in government offices, including:
Maintenance of records
Physical movement of files
Photocopying, faxing, and general paperwork
Non-clerical work such as opening/closing rooms, cleaning duties, etc.
Havaldar Job Role (CBIC/CBN)
The Havildar role involves duties similar to a watchman or field assistant under the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) or Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN). Responsibilities include:
Security or ward duties
Assisting officers during raids and field operations
₹100 for all candidates except SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen and female candidates, who are exempted from paying the fee.
