The Kerala PSC Secretariat Assistant exam is coming up in 2025, and it’s one of the most sought-after government jobs in the state. Every year, thousands of candidates compete for this opportunity. The first stage is the Preliminary Exam, which serves as a screening test to shortlist candidates for the next round. This is objective-type exam includes questions from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. Candidates must secure the minimum cut-off marks to qualify for the next stage. According to the PSC Annual Calendar released on January 1, the degree prelims exam for posts requiring degree qualification will be held in the months of May-July.
The Main Exam is the second stage and focuses on assessing the in-depth knowledge and analytical abilities of candidates. This written examination includes descriptive and objective-type questions covering special topics related with this post.Mains exam will have two papers of 100 marks each . Each paper will consist of two papers of 1 hour and 15 minutes duration .Paper-I will be held from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Paper II will be held from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. After the prelims exam, the mains exam is conducted for those who are eligible for it. So, of course, the mains exam date is released only after all the procedures of the prelims exam are completed.However, according to the PSC Annual Calendar notification released on January 1, the mains exam is likely to be held in the months of August-October.
